What is Glass Smash Sand?

We are a glass recycling co-op doing our part to help keep West Virginia beautiful. Do you know it takes 1 million years for glass to decompose in the environment? We can do better! How? When you subscribe to Glass Smash Sand Co Op we will pick up your cleaned glass bottles and jars and turn them into sand. The sand can then be repurposed in many types of projects. Think art projects, cement, horse shoe pits, landscaping, pool filtration, sand blasting, sand boxes. It's amazing! You get all the feels knowing you are doing your part to keep glass out of the land fill, produce a sustainable sand product and keep Almost Heaven, well, heavenly!

Why a recycling co-op? Well, we had to create a co-op in order to comply with the existing refuse laws in West Virginia: (insert I didn't want to get sued!)...As the only entity in the area offering a glass recycling option, Glass Smash Sand Co Op will operate and meet the needs of those in the Charleston, South Charleston and Dunbar area who want to recycle glass bottles and jars.
